Have you ever thought that chores are unnecessary ? That you do them only because you have to? Actually, chores are a way for you to improve in multiple aspects of life. According to research done by a Harvard study, kids who do chores have happier, healthier, and better lives as they grow up. Chores are a way to help you get smarter so you can do better in school, be healthier, be helpful and be useful as you grow up. Chores are one of the major factors to becoming successful, in a child’s life.

Chores can help children to do much better in school whether in their behavior or in their grades. According to a health blogger, Eileen Bailey, children who do chores “have better social skills and have greater self-esteem than those that do not do chores”. Chores can help children develop social skills because they have to learn to be obedient and work with other people in order to get the job done. Chores can also help children have self-esteem because once they finish a job and are congratulated for it, they will enjoy doing that job more. Social skills can help children interact with and be more comfortable around others in any situation, so they are not stressed about meeting new people or having to work with them. Self-esteem is also very important for a child because it helps them to be positive about themselves. These skills are very important in order for a child to do well in school, in team projects or individually. If they develop this, they can complete whatever they have to do well. Further, chores are a way to help children stay healthy.

Staying healthy is one of life’s top priorities for a child. According to Healthy Living, a team of researchers at McMaster University tracked 130,000 people in 17 countries and found that doing chores offered the same health benefits as running or going to a gym. Doing chores such as cleaning your room or just folding the laundry for at least 30 minutes a day will reduce the risk of death by 28 percent and the risk of heart attack by 20 percent. The health benefits of doing chores relate to everyone. If you keep healthy, then you will be able to go outside and play instead of sitting at home and staring out the window while sick. Chores have several useful purposes, but one of the most useful advantages is to keep you active and healthy, so you can continue to do the things you enjoy such as playing outside. Chores are the most helpful in training a child to be more responsible and helpful around the house.

According to Monument Life, children can be more responsible and self-reliant by just doing simple tasks such as making their room or doing the laundry. Responsibility is an essential thing to develop in a child’s life because it helps them to be trusted by others, and it can help them to be organized and self-reliant. Being responsible also means that children will help their parents around the house no matter the job, whether it’s cleaning dishes or washing the car. Being responsible and self-reliant is also a very good trait to develop in a child’s life because as they grow older they will have to take care of themselves. They won’t have to depend on others. Chores are very helpful in a child’s life because it teaches many wonderful things including responsibility and self-reliance.

Chores are one of the most needed things in a child’s life because they can establish many good characteristics which they can use throughout their life. Some of the many benefits which children can get from doing chores are getting better at those chores, staying healthy, being responsible, and being self-reliant. If a child could develop all of these characteristics in his/her life, no matter where they went, they would be a great success.
